Situated in the heart of Budapest, the Faculty of Arts of Eötvös Loránd University is an institution with a distinguished past. Regarding its quality of education, it ranks first among the Art Faculties of Hungary.

Our academic programmes, restructured from the 2006/2007 term onwards according to the Bologna Process, enable easy transfer between our Faculty and other university-level institutions within the EU.

Many of our BA programmes provide foreign-language tuition, but we also offer English-language courses specially designed for foreign students: these have been devised to satisfy the needs of the international student community, and introduce the participants to the history, culture, and the present political-economic issues of our region.

Those interested also have the choice between a wide variety of interdisciplinary MA programmes, and numerous foreign-language PhD programmes. The Faculty also offers language courses, from translation and interpreting studies to Hungarian as a foreign language for students from abroad.

Academic work is aided by international contacts, research networks, research project cooperations, research groups operating within the country and internationally, and various specialized libraries with unique collections.

We welcome the students on a campus that due to infrastructural regrouping in recent years has become united, remodelled, and technologically updated to serve the needs of modern education.
